The design company Unidrain, known for its linear drain, has appointed René Risom as its new Export Sales Manager. He takes up the position on 1 October and will be responsible for Unidrain’s export sales outside Scandinavia.
“I’m really looking forward to starting at Unidrain, where I will be in direct contact with architects all over the world. One of my key tasks will be to develop our collaboration,” says René Risom, and continues:
“Initially, my primary focus will be on a number of ongoing hotel projects worldwide. My to-do list also includes developing the cooperation with Unidrain’s many distributors around the world. I’m looking forward to working on the projects in greater detail and to making Unidrain even better known.”
20 years’ export market experience
René Risom comes from a position as export manager at R&T Stainless, which is a subcontractor in the steel industry. The export market is thus by no means unknown territory to him:
“I’ve worked with exports for the last 20 years. I’ve also lived abroad for ten years, which has given me a good understanding of business cultures in other countries. The way we do things in Denmark cannot always be transferred directly to another country,” he says.
The story of Unidrain in particular is something that René Risom is looking forward to promoting abroad:
“How Unidrain has made the drain a brand is a really good story that I’m looking forward to telling the rest of the world. And, of course, I’m also looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and being part of a competent team of new colleagues,” he concludes.
