The ShowerLine fixed module is a further development of Unidrain’s original line drain.
Wall flanges along all sides ensure that the wet room is extra secure.
The ShowerLine module is a drain with an integrated 2% fall which makes installation easier and saves time on casting.
The included wooden profiles ensure correct placement of both the ShowerLine module and the wall profile for the shower screen.
Apply the wet room membrane to all wall and floor surfaces. Always follow the instructions from the wet room membrane manufacturer.
If you choose GlassLine with a steel frame, a shower door can complete the shower cubicle. Read our tips for installing the shower door.
Make sure the drain is level on all three sides and follow the installation guide carefully to avoid common mistakes.
The ShowerLine fixed module is a further development of Unidrain’s original line drain. The difference is that the ShowerLine drain is a U-shaped module. The module is secured to the wall and cast into the floor. The drain thereby indicates the correct predefined slope of 2%, which saves time when casting the floor. Wall flanges along all sides make the wet room even more secure and waterproff.
With GlassLine, there is no need for a glazier to install the shower screen. The shower screen is supplied directly and can easily be mounted by two people. The ShowerLine module is produced with a groove in one of the flanges, into which the shower screen is lowered. The shower screen is then attached to the included wall rail surrounded by a steel frame, which discreetly hides the tile edge and provides a nice finish inside the shower. The steel frame is cut into one piece without joints, which produces an installation without any visible screws or brackets.
Depending on the size of the shower cubicle, a top rail can be added for extra stability. Unidrain recommends installing the top rail if the shower wall is more than 1000 mm deep. The GlassLine system is completed with Unidrain’s HighLine panel and frame or the ClassicLine grating and frame, which means that the final look is exactly like Unidrain’s regular line drain.
In addition to the technical benefits of the GlassLine system, you get a solution with unsurpassed details and finish. Especially, the transition from glass to tiles is unmatched among other drain solutions. The GlassLine shower screen is mounted without any visible screws or fittings. The glass shower screen almost floats in its discreet steel frame along the floor and walls.
Unidrain’s shower screen fits in all bathroom designs. It comes in several sizes and can be either right- or left-mounted.
You can choose the completely transparent wall in a steel frame, or a version with an exclusive black frame.
Follow the instructions from the wet room membrane supplier (Lip, Ardex/Wedi, Alfix, Schönox/Sika, Mira, Knauf, Mapei and others).
Avoid using wet concrete primer on the metal surfaces of the line drain before applying the wet room membrane.
Clean the surfaces of the drain before starting work with the wet room membrane.
The wet room membrane must overlap the flanges of the drain by at least 40 mm.
A liquid 1-component wet room membrane must be applied in two coats with a total layer thickness of at least 1 mm
Be thorough with the wet room membrane if you want the installation to last for many years.
If you choose GlassLine with a brushed steel frame, you can complete the shower cubicle with a door that comes in the same uncompromising materials and provides a beautiful finish.
The elegant shower door is mounted with exclusive and stylish fittings, which highlight the design from the steel rail at the bottom of the shower screen. The shower door can therefore only be mounted if the glass wall is mounted with a brushed steel frame.
Place the shower door on blocks positioned where the door is to be mounted in the wall.
A top rail is recommended to stabilise shower screens measuring 1200 mm. The top rail is available in one length. Cut to fit the individual shower cubicle.
