Private luxury spa

Nothing has been spared in this completely renovated villa from 1932 north of Copenhagen. Not in the bathrooms either.

In this fully refurbished 1932 villa north of Copenhagen, nothing was too much trouble. Not even in the bathrooms. Ronni Gol, owner of the LIGHT-POINT lamp company, travels a lot and loves to stay at stunning international spa hotels. So he has fitted out not one, not two, but three bathrooms – one on each floor of the large villa – all inspired by exclusive, exotic, elegant hotel styling. They are virtually identical, with just a few differences. Common to all three are the balanced shapes, colours and materials, adding up to an intimate, Zen-like ambience. Just like in a state-of-the-art spa, devoted to wellbeing and vitality. This makes it a carefree, no-stress zone that magically embraces you with warmth, the sound of sparkling water and the scent of luxury. It’s a space for self-indulgence – for the ultimate sensory experience.

Nothing is left to chance. Everything has been selected without compromise. For example, the floors and walls of all three bathrooms are clad in large 80 x 80 cm greyish-brown Grigio Billiemi marble tiles from Sicily. The marble tiles sport golden detailing to complement the brass fittings, drains and accessories. Ronni Gol never doubted for one moment that he would go for Unidrain in his new bathrooms in view of the quality, design and the fact that the drain could match the classic Vola taps.

He chose the HighLine drain – a panel that replaces the classic grating. It looks more exclusive and is available in five colours: brushed or hand-polished steel, as well as copper, black or brass. This makes it possible to colour-match the metal throughout to create harmonious visual unity around the room. In this case, the common denominator is brass.

“I deliberately chose a solid-panel Unidrain HighLine brass line drain. I could otherwise have chosen a more discreet solution, but I feel it underscores the warm atmosphere and sense of spa that I love. And I like things to match!” Ronni says.

He also chose accessories from the Unidrain Reframe Collection. Reliable Danish design you can trust. Sublime quality with innovative and intelligent features. The collection is available in the colours to match the drain.

As a professional, naturally he made sure the lighting was right. This is vital for staging and achieving the right atmosphere.Ronni chose to go all-in with a lowered ceiling and an LED light frame all the way around the edge of the room, spots at all the integrated/built-in shelves, light strips under the vanity units and a large illuminated mirror. All the lights are of course dimmable and can be switched on individually.

With the new bathrooms, Ronni Gol can now enjoy a home spa and turn everyday care routines and habits into a wellness experience – there’s no need to book and he can enjoy some me-time morning, noon or night. The bathroom has become a place of calm and ritual – a refuge – where he can devote himself to body and soul. This is a small private luxury oasis. Even a real spa connoisseur would be thrilled!
